Available Rebates
If referred by your Doctor via a Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDMP), you may be eligible to claim Medicare Rebates on consult fees. Current medicare rebate per consultation for dietitian is $60.35 (as of July 2024).
Full payment for the appointment is required before processing the rebate. Rebates can be processed at the time of your appointment, Please bring your Medicare card and your current GPMP from your GP.
Examples of conditions that may qualify for a Chronic Disease Management Plan include:
- Diabetes (Type 1 and Type 2)
- High Cholesterol
- High Blood Pressure

Private Health Insurance
You may be eligible for a rebate from your private health fund if your extras cover includes dietetics. If you are unsure, just give your health fund a call to find out if you are covered under dietitian. Item numbers to quote are 500 (intiital) and 600 (review). We can process your private health claim at the time of your appointment. Please bring along you private health fund card.
